Things Diablo 2 Resurrected can do
Fortunately, from what we’ve felt while entering the Diablo 2 Resurrected beta, it looks like the game will avoid the issues that plagued Warcraft 3 Reforged. We did not notice a single mistake appearing in Diablo 2: Resurrected, but on the contrary the game has had many notable improvements.
The gameplay of Diablo 2 Resurrected remains the same, without any changes – this is what we want in the game. There will still be dozens of large and small monsters appearing on the screen , rushing towards you when alarmed and then turning into all sorts of objects and equipment for you to pick up (or ignore towards the end of the game). This equipment system somewhat lacks the variety and richness of Diablo 3, but it is still enough for gamers to freely experiment with new ways to build their characters.
We believe that gamers will enjoy the new graphics of Diablo 2 Resurrected. The game still only uses 2D drawings to simulate 3D, but supports the trendy 4K resolution and has new, beautiful and much more realistic lighting effects. The light from the torches looks warmer, the portals, waypoints paint the surroundings a mysterious green, and the familiar magical effects can light up the entire screen. The characters and skill effects both look very familiar, but are also much more beautiful and detailed. It can be said that the development team did a great job of upgrading the image of the 21-year-old game without affecting its core art style.
Meanwhile, the sound of Diablo 2 Resurrected really brings the author back to old memories. You’ll still hear those extremely familiar but dear sounds every day – the “jingle” when moving a gem in the inventory, the “pop” when drinking a potion, the menacing creak of a Trapped wooden crates… All of them seem to have been left in place, and the author welcomes this because sound was a very important part of the old Diablo experience.
Diablo 2 Resurrected also has a lot of improvements to make the game more comfortable for gamers, especially for those who are used to the convenience of many similar hack-and-slash RPG titles. The game allows you to enable new, improved features (such as automatic gold pick up) to simplify controls and make gameplay smoother. Additionally, Blizzard promises Diablo 2 Resurrected will have a new colorblind mode, but it hasn’t been activated during the beta.
A new chat board appeared to provide a lot of information to gamers while playing, but its existence attracted mixed opinions from gamers. Of course, gamers can also turn off all these features and remove the new graphics background to play Diablo 2 just like the version 21 years ago through the Legacy mode toggled with the G button.
However, it must be said that Diablo 2 Resurrected lacks some familiar features of the original and may not be added even after the official release. The most prominent of these is none other than the game’s TCP/IP multiplayer feature, which many Vietnamese gamers used to play in game rooms when the internet was lacking and weak, dating “dupe” charms and raids. powerful bosses in the game’s acts.
And the things that are not yet
Diablo 2: Resurrected is only about a month away, but we think the game has too many bugs right now. On a relatively configured PC (Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, RTX 2070), the game crashes quite a few times and according to many other players, this also happens often to them. Visual bugs are also not lacking, for example characters sometimes “clone” when you want them to change direction, or characters and monsters pass through each other – something that doesn’t happen in Diablo 2.
But what worries the author most is the game’s ping. The beta phase of Diablo 2 Resurrected requires gamers to be online for Blizzard to collect information, but lag and delay happens very often. It reminds the author of the “disaster” that I and my friends encountered when playing Monster Hunter: World PC version. Hopefully when the official version is released, Blizzard’s servers will be healthier so that multiplayer games will not be affected.
Finally, if you’re planning on spending time plowing through the Diablo 2 Resurected beta, you’ll probably want to know that whatever you gain in the beta phase will be erased when the game officially launches. Blizzard’s reason is that the game will have a lot of changes and fixes between the beta and the final version, and it is possible that the game save files will not be compatible with each other. Please take the time to enjoy the upcoming open beta to enjoy the game’s character classes and decide if you should buy it or not.
Diablo 2 Resurrected will be released on September 23, 2012 for all platforms, not just PC . The console versions of the game cover PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch. The game isn’t available on mobile – that’s Diablo Immortal ‘s job . The game costs 40 USD if purchased individually, and 60 USD if purchased with Diablo 3 and all its expansions. We’ll be back with a more detailed review when it’s officially out.
